What happens if you are away for five working days?
Choose the answer closest to what usually happens today.
The assessment looks at three parts of the business.
Leadership
What really happens when you’re away, who owns important results, and whether someone else can do the work that comes up most often.
Growth
Whether you record how customers find you, can follow the steps from first contact to sale, and know what a customer costs to win and brings in over time.
Operations
Whether you can see all unfinished work in one place, where work waits the longest, how mistakes and rework are tracked, and how you choose what to fix first.
The assessment is just as useful. Your results start with what’s working, so you can see what’s holding the business up and what to protect as it grows.
When you finish, create an account or sign in, and your reading appears straight away.
Not sure of an answer? Choose “I don’t know.” It counts as missing information, never as a zero. If too much is missing, your results say so instead of giving you a low score.
The score is not an industry grade, a ranking against other businesses or a confirmed diagnosis.
Your dashboard shows the same five steps. You can stop after any of them.

Fifteen questions and three quick check-ins about how the business runs today. No account is needed to start, and your progress is kept in your browser as you go.
Straight away
Create an account or sign in to save your answers, and your assessment reading appears: your preliminary score, what your answers suggest, the strengths you can build on and practical first steps.
About 20–30 minutes
Six short sections: the business, owner and team, customers, how work gets done, numbers and records, and what you want to change. Your assessment answers carry over. When it’s ready, you send it, and then you can book your review.
60 minutes · video or phone
Once your diagnostic is sent, choose one of the open times; you can move it if plans change. Together we go through your answers, fill in what’s missing, and separate what the review confirms from what still needs evidence.
After the review
Your Business Health Report: the findings confirmed in the review, what still needs evidence, and the next conversation.
Separate from the free assessment
If you’d like help acting on your report, that’s a separate step. Scope and pricing are agreed with you before anything goes ahead, and none of it is part of the free assessment.
A plan built on your report: the main constraint to work on first, up to three priorities, and actions that each have an owner, a date and a clear “done when,” across three 30-day phases: Foundation, Optimization and Scale.
Actions in the plan can be assigned to BHS as well as to your team, depending on what’s agreed. As you mark your own actions in progress, blocked or done, your consultant reviews each update.

A made-up trade business, to show how one problem moves from a first answer to a reviewed change. Every business is different.
Quotes wait for the owner. When the owner is out on jobs all day, prices for new inquiries go out late.
In the review: how long quotes actually wait, which jobs truly need the owner to price them, and whether anyone else already prices standard work.
Write down how standard jobs are priced, and let a named team member send those quotes within agreed limits. Unusual jobs still go to the owner.
The action is tracked in the Blueprint as in progress, blocked or done, and each update is reviewed. The measure agreed at the start, how long quotes wait, shows whether the change is working.
Owners of small service businesses who want the business to depend less on them. We’re starting with the trades, and the questions are about how any service business runs: leadership, growth and operations.
The assessment is free, and taking it doesn’t commit you to anything else. The 90-day Blueprint and implementation support are separate: scope and pricing are agreed with you before anything goes ahead.
No. Your results lead with what’s working, and a strong business gets a strong reading: “A strong reported foundation” is one of them. The area with the lowest score is never labeled weak; it’s simply where there’s the most room to firm up.
Choose “I don’t know.” It’s treated as missing information, never as a zero. If too much is missing, your results say there isn’t enough information yet rather than showing a low score.
Not for the assessment: answer from what usually happens today, not what you hope will happen. For the diagnostic, numbers help. If one isn’t available, you can write “I don’t know,” and it’s discussed in the review.
Until you create an account or sign in, your answers stay in your browser and aren’t sent to BHS. After that: you, and the BHS Founder, who runs your review and prepares your report. Other BHS team members with consultant access can see where you are in the process and your preliminary score, but not your answers. Other customers never see anything of yours. The privacy page has the details.
Yes. You can move a booked review until your report is published, and your current time stays booked until the new one is confirmed.
